The ideal candidate is a seasoned chef with a background in multi-unit kitchen management. You will help to oversee all venue based culinary operations. Including cafes and restaurants and onsite catering operations. You will be responsible for costs, quality control, mentoring and training, as well as recruiting and managing chefs across all venue operations. You will be working closely with onsite management to ensure the culinary needs of the unit are met.
Responsibilities
· Lead, manage and mentor all venue culinary management.
· Uphold and teach high quality standards throughout the kitchens.
· Ensure the maintenance, sanitation, and food safety of the kitchen by collaborating with the onsite team and coordination with a third-party Department of Health (DOH) consultant.
· Collaborate with each location to supervise production, and implement waste reduction strategies.
· Collaborate with Human Resources department to assist in employee relations, and disciplinary processes.
· Track and follow up on equipment maintenance and repairs.
· Supervise and lead culinary staff across multiple locations, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to GP standards.
· Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
· 8 years culinary experience (preferred)
· Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate kitchen staff.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various departments and stakeholders.
· Ability to identify and address issues promptly and effectively.
· Flexibility to adapt to changing industry trends and organizational needs.
Location: NYC
Base salary: $120,000 per/year
