Job Title: Junior Cloud Engineer (AWS, Azure)
Location: Forsyth, GA (Hybrid -Local candidates Only)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Mandatory Qualifications - Hands-on experience with cloud architecture, deployment, and migration in AWS and Azure (minimum 3 years).
- Strong knowledge of networking and enterprise IT infrastructure management (minimum 3 years).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python) (minimum 3 years).
- Solid experience in cloud engineering and infrastructure support (2 3 years).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Understanding of IT security principles, especially within regulated or government environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL and DevOps best practices.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience working with or within public sector/government agencies.
- Knowledge of enterprise platforms including:
- Application Servers: JBOSS, Tomcat
- Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Amazon Aurora, DBaaS solutions
- Operating Systems: Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Unix
- Load Balancers and Storage Solutions
- Experience supporting the full IT service lifecycle (design, transition, operations, continuous improvement).
- Familiarity with Active Directory integration and infrastructure compliance standards.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices applied to cloud/infrastructure environments.
- Ability to collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and ensure compliance with SDLC standards.
Responsibilities - Lead the design, deployment, and support of hybrid cloud environments leveraging AWS and Azure.
- Plan and execute migrations from on-premises data centers to cloud platforms.
- Configure and manage LAN/WAN environments including firewalls, routers, route tables, ACLs, and DNS.
- Provide support for enterprise platforms across servers, databases, operating systems, load balancers, and storage.
- Develop automation scripts for provisioning and system management.
- Integrate third-party applications and hardware into secure, connected environments.
- Perform capacity planning and contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Apply ITIL and DevOps methodologies to optimize service delivery and operations.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and implement effective solutions.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and recommend improvements.
- Maintain security and compliance standards for infrastructure and systems.
- Stay current on industry trends and cybersecurity best practices.
- Communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Occasional in-state travel to agency locations as required.
