The Center for Health Education Medicine and Dentistry CHEMED is seeking a Maintenance and Operations Assistant to join our dynamic facilities team! Whether you're just out of school or looking to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment, this role is your opportunity to make a real impact while learning essential skills.
What You’ll Do
Be the go-to support for our Facilities Manager on daily operations
Tackle basic handyman tasks, hanging fixtures, minor repairs, assembly work, and more
Deliver supplies and equipment between multiple CHEMED locations
Assist with setting up ID badges and key cards for staff
Assemble office furniture, shelving, and equipment
Help unload and organize deliveries
Pitch in wherever needed, no two days are the same!
What We’re Looking For
A high school diploma or equivalent (trade/technical training is a bonus!)
A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
Basic knowledge of tools and general maintenance
A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active on the job
A professional, punctual, and team-oriented mindset

Requirements
Qualifications for Maintenance Assistant
2+ years of experience
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems (including relevant equipment and tools) is a plus
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift or move heavy equipment
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents
Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from supervisors
May be required to work outside of normal work hours
Supervise and manage the housekeeping team
Management experience a must
Must be very responsible and have Great communication and management skills as well as personable and a team player
